Purple coneflower are low maintenance, hardy herbaceous perennials. Bloom time is dependent on climate with mature plants blooming from spring through late summer. At maturity, plants reach up to 48 inches tall and 10 inches wide. Deadheading after blooming will encourage reflowering. These natives are somewhat drought tolerant, but perform best with regular water in well drained, full-sun locations. Hardiness zones 4-10.
